A New Version of Orpheus

Once there was a huge city . many people lived there and out of the hundreds and thousands there were only two were true heros. it was a man and a woman. his name was kyle and her name was Layla. they were head of the police and were deeply in love. on June 30th they got married and on their way home kyle's wife was killed. there  was a gunshot that led straight to her. on her funeral kyle wasn't there he went on the look for his wife's killer but at the same time out if all hes gone through he started to go crazy.  He started to hear her voice and hallucinate about her. finally he found the killer and tracked him down to an old forgotten house . he went in and with all the people he passed kyle tied them and left them so the rest of the police can take them away. in a secret room was the killer, kyle sunk up and knocked him out .wen he woke kyle was looking at the most wanted killer in a jail cell. from there on he had to live with the horrid memory some one kill the one he loved.

Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar was an odvious choice for being a good leader. he was the most popular man in Rome after his good job in the war. caesars army was big unough to get control of italy. many people in rome admired caesar for his leadership adn war hero. the people inn rome made him dictator of rome. dictators, in that time ,were chosen in time of stress or tragety.  caeser was chosen for his popularity mostly.  caesar made many changes to rome. the calender caesar used was alsomt the same as the one we use today.  the month july was name in honor of Julius Caesar. Caesar was then chosen dictator for life.

My favorite Greek thinker

   My favorite Greek thinker is Sappho.  Sappho was an admired Greek poet. She made poems that were based on love,jealousy,and hate. She is my favorite Greek thinker because she is able to express her feelings in three different ways.  Sappho is able to to inspire people by what her poems are about. Her poems were unique and made by Sappho's own creativity. She is independent and can make poems that many people in Greece liked and made some of them happy or joyful. Sappho is my favorite Greek thinker because she is independent and creative.    

Hector

   I believe Hector didnt do the correct thing because he had the option on fighting him or letting his army fight him. Letting his army fight would have been better because he would have been alive still. He accepted Achillies challenge because he didnt want to be emmbarassed infront of his family. If that where me i would have let my army beat him because that way he would be dead faster and i would still be alive and die the normal way be being old.

The Myth of Osiris

   Once in the mighty skies there was a god named Osiris and his goddess with Isis. Osiris was a very happy god he was with his with and family what else could he have. Set his brother was jelous and envied his brother so he hatched a plan that he will kill his brother and be rid of his troubles and he waas going to do this by making a party for him and get him to fit a box and with that box he was going to cut it. And this happened the next day there was a big festival. There was fireworks and cake. Set  alredy had the box and said " I have this box here who ever fits in it will win a GRAND prize ". Many people tried to fit but no one could. Until Osiris wanted to take a shot at it. " Let me try" exclamie Osiris and Set had this evil grin on his face and Osiris went in the box and he fit perfectly the only thing was that Set had to make it better so he said " Mabey his side is to big i need to close the box to make sure he would fit PERFECTLY " and so he did Osiris was inthe box perfectly and at the moment the croud left Set snuck his brother, got a big nife , and killed his brother. When Isis hurd that her husband was missing she went to look for him. The thing was that Set spread all the pieces of his brothers body in six different places. Isis wen ton a search she will not come back till she found her husbands parts. Then one day she returned adn put Osiris back together and revived him. From that day on he was god of the underworld. And Set went to go work for him once they found out that he did it and Osiris live happy with his wife and new servant.

GILGAMESH'S STORY

   Gilgamesh's story is a very interesting one. His story takes place in the city of Uruk. he existed four thousand years ago. the sky god trorizes gilgamesh with ungreatful things like creating enkidu to plage his city. enkidu kills all the animals they have and eats them. gilgamesh trys to stop it,enkidu. they become friends and go on an adventure to slay the demon humbaba and cut down its trees. gilgamesh starts to have bad dreams that make him worry about the journy. they win the battel and killed the demon and destroyed the trees. enkidu starts to have bad dreams and gets ill then dies. gilgamesh goes on his own journy. he goes through many obsticals and acomplishes them. gilgamesh finds an end to his journy but starts to make many mistakes. it ends up that gilgamesh dosent acomplish his journy to be immortal.
    i think the messageof this story is you cant always acomplish something nor can u give up but you can be proud of what you have.i think this is the message because gilgamesh,at the end of his journy,gilgamesh aprecieates what he has and what he created. gilgameshdidnt acomplish his task but he tried his best and gave effort. he also never gave up even though it was as if he had bad luck because evrything was going wrong and nothing went well.
       i believe gilgamesh is a hero because his enemy became his friend and that is very hard to do when u dont like someone and they end up being your best friend. also that gilgamesh was brave. gilgamesh is a hero because he went through many obsticals and he was able to do them. he was a good hero because he was differen from any other person.

First Person Writing About Mesopotamia

    In Mesopotamia it is very wet. We get flash flooding and that harms the city. We sometimes have too much food or water. It is very hard with the silt that builds up and the effect it has on the city. To solve this problem we have to coaperate with our neighboors but it is some times hard. When we get flash floods many people do not survive it. Some of the family is gone because of the droughts and the flooding. It is realy complicated when we have to loose a family member. In Mesopotamia we have realy good times but sometimes we have realy realy bad times like when we have to clean the silt. Many times we have to help the children on the activities they have to do. Many city states in Mesopotamia are very nice.
